Managing change and improving appraisal processes
A chance meeting at the Hereford and Worcester Chamber HR Forum led to an incredible relationship between two different businesses.
It was at the end of the event at the Hereford and Worcester Chamber HR Forum that fate seemed to step in, connecting two long established businesses to bring both substantial rewards.
The meeting, in December 2013, happened between Jennifer Appleton of ISO Quality Services Ltd and Mark Hobart of Clearview Systems Ltd yet it wasn’t until later they realised just how they could help each other to drive business growth.
After exchanging business cards Jennifer made contact by offering the name of an associate that she believed would be beneficial to Clearview, it was at this point that Mark asked for ISOs services to enable his company to attain the ISO 9001 and 27001 certifications.
In his own words, Mark recalls,
“We were in the process of determining an ISO certification partner to help formalise our approach to quality management and data security. Once I met Jennifer, it was clear that ISO Quality Services Ltd were the ideal partner to support us in making tangible improvements in our approach as a business to delivering excellent services to our customers.”
When meeting with Mark to discuss the company’s needs further, Jennifer realised Clearview offered services that ISO Quality Services were in need of for their growing business. As Jennifer says,
“I saw a potential value to us implementing the Strategy and Performance modules. Mark and Nicky (Customer Service Director) came to our offices and gave myself and my management team a demo. We were all really impressed and could see ways in which the system could help save us time, especially around the personal performance area of the business and managing our strategic change programme."
Both ISO Quality Services and Clearview hold the other in high esteem with Mark releasing a statement that highlights his decision behind choosing ISO and Jennifer doing the same.
“We are planning to use our own tools to manage the attainment of ISO 9001 and 27001 certifications and in passing it became apparent that Jennifer was looking for a better way of managing and tracking strategic change within her own organisation and in turn being able to smarten their approach to employee performance reviews and competency assessments. We are delighted to be working with Jennifer and her team to provide the tools to better manage their strategic change and smarten their performance review processes.”
“‘as a strong believer in networking and ‘right place right time’, when I met Mark at a local Chamber of Commerce networking event it just proved my theory. Having been offered numerous different software packages in the past, nothing quite hit the spot. Contracts have now been finalised and both parties are understandably looking towards the future, as they work together in more ways than they had originally envisaged.
