Customer Scrutiny is set to shift into the next phase of maturity in 2015 with over 500 scrutiny panels in England, Wales and Scotland, set up and supported by social landlords of all types - housing associations, ALMOs, Councils that still own and manage stock.

Whatever stage you are at with your Scrutiny teams – there are always areas to improve and lessons to be learned from sharing the best practices from those that have been recognised for excellence in all aspects of customer scrutiny inspection.

Tenants provide a hugely influential role in terms of reviewing service delivery procedures and policies and through recommendations setting the agenda for change to the main Board of the housing association or council committee. Landlords need to continue to invest both time and money in supporting their panels, demonstrating the importance of tenant scrutiny in terms of service improvement and co-regulation – helping Boards and Committees to get a better understanding of the quality of services and policy changes required.

The CSI Conferences 2015 will provide access to real best practices delivered through a range of presentations from the sectors most recognised experts and policy makers. The day will also comprise a range of hands-on workshops, so whether you are new to scrutiny or have been part of the process for years there are sessions for you. These range from setting up and recruiting scrutiny panel members, to measuring the real impact of scrutiny, how to remain independent as a tenant scrutiny panel and successful approaches to inspection.
